Student Chromebooks Return 2025/26 School Year
With the end of the current school year quickly approaching, I wanted to share chromebook information with all students, parents, and staff. All current 12th grade students will need to return their chromebooks on May 29 to the Technology Department Office, located in room C-20 of the High School. If the computer is broken or missing a charger, then a bill will be given to cover the cost of the repair/replacement. The invoice will need to be paid by June 4th. If the invoice is not paid, then your diploma will be held until it is paid.
For all students in grades 5th – 11th grade, you will NOT return your chromebook at the end of the school year. You will keep it for next year. Please keep the chromebook in a safe space at your home. If the chromebook is damaged before the start of the new school year, please notify the Technology Dept. We can have it fixed for the upcoming school year. For students in 1st - 4th grade, please leave your chromebooks in your classroom. The Technology Department will move them to your next year’s classroom.
Cost of repair/replacement
Chromebook full replacement: $305
Broken Screen: $75
Charger replacement: $25
Remove Stickers/clean adhesive: $25
Other damage: Per Acer cost to fix.
If you are withdrawing from the Hanover Area School District, the chromebook must be returned with the charger. If the computer or charger is not returned, you will be invoiced for the full replacement of the chromebook or charger.
Thank you,
Ron Hummer
