A student must have a disability and be in need of specially designed instruction in order to be eligible to receive special education programs and services.
The Hanover Area School District provides a full continuum of programs and services to students in accordance with the Individuals with Disabilities Act, 2004 (IDEA) and PA Chapter 14 Special Education Program for students with disabilities. Services are provided in Grades K-12 in both district-operated programs as well as programs that are provided by the Luzerne Intermediate Unit (LIU 18).
